Frequently Asked Questions

For what wind-speed are your panels designed?

Our system has been tested to meet EN 1991-1-4 Wind Actions standards, in partnership with the I.F.I. Institute for Industrial Aerodynamics, ensuring wind resistance up to 47 m/s.

Do you have a system designed for snow-prone regions?

Yes, our High Mount system is specifically designed to perform optimally on both green roofs and snowy roofs, ensuring ideal energy production in these diverse conditions. For example, in our specialized winter project in Trondheim, we focused on ensuring optimal winter performance and efficient snow clearance, addressing these unique challenges with a tailored solution.

Can the panels also be installed on tilted roofs?

Our panels are designed for flat roofs with a maximum tilt of 10 degrees. If your roof has a tilt greater than 10 degrees, a special solution could be applicable. Contact our team at info@overeasy.no for more information.

Where can I buy Over Easy Solar’s VPV Units?

Over Easy Solar’s VPV units are distributed through our trusted partners. You can find an overview of our partners here.

If you are a private or commercial building owner and there is no partner in your region yet, don’t worry—we’d be happy to help you find one. Simply get in touch with our team via Request Offer.

Can I use PV Sol to plan a project with Over Easy Solar’s solution?

PV Sol and similar systems are not optimized for vertical solutions, so we’ve developed our own planning tool. However, if you’re using PV Sol or similar, our team can provide you with a PAN file to assist in your planning.

How can we plan a project?

Over Easy Solar offers the VPV Planner, our custom planning tool designed to simplify the planning of vertical systems. It enables our partners to quickly assess a project’s potential in the initial stages, providing a plan in just 5 minutes.

What does bifacial mean?

Bifacial means that the panels generate power from both sides of the glass. Our panels are optimized for east-west installations, where their industry-leading bifaciality of 96% maximizes energy production during peak demand hours.

Do you need optimizers with your system?

We typically recommend against using optimizers, as our specially developed and patented bypass diode is integrated into each panel to ensure optimal performance, even in shaded conditions. However, if required, our system is also compatible with optimizers.

What kind of warranties do you offer?

We offer a 15-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty, so you can trust in long-term reliability.

How do vertical panels perform in winter?

Exceptionally well! They capture more sunlight during the lower sun angles of winter. Additionally, they stay snow free on more days and benefit from the reflected sunlight from the snow layer. Read more about this in our blog post about winter performance.

Can anyone become a partner?

Yes, but we’re especially interested in partnering with companies and professionals who see the potential of our technology and are committed to transforming urban spaces. This means actively promoting our solution through marketing initiatives such as social media, websites, and industry events.

Do your solar panels work with standard inverters?

Absolutely! Our systems are fully compatible with standard solar inverters, provided they are correctly sized. The recommended inverter size will be detailed in the installer report provided by us or your trusted Over Easy Solar partner.
